Exploring Poetry
What is prose?
-the prose is a natural form of writing that exhibits an ordinary form of grammatical structure.
-Prose has no
particular style or literary design, it can be found in blocks newspaper
articles, etc.
-Prose wrote without
any pattern or any particular tone.
-People can use prose
as a part of their everyday speech, which is used you speak as well as write.

The prose is commonly used in
our day-by-day conversations as well as in our written work.
Vikram Seth uses
sonnets to tell his story and calls it a novel in verse.
What is poetry?
Poetry is a form of
literature written artfully and it is an ancient form.
It evokes imaginative
consequences among the readers through its creative structure of words and rhymes
that bind the readers with the poem.
It is the genre of literature that expresses ideas, feelings, and thoughts in stanzas and specific
form lines.
Three kinds of poetry:

Narrative poetry

Dramatic poetry

Lyrical poetry
The main difference between prose and poetry:
1.
Process is written in such a way that it does not
pay attention to rhymes, whereas in the case of poetry it is written
rhythmically.
2.
While writing prose the writer has no word
limit, on the other hand, a writer has a Limited number of words that we can use.
3.
Prose is mainly realistic on the other hand
the pond uses imaginative scenarios.
4.
In prose, idea thoughts are written down into
lines combined in two-paragraph, whereas in the case of poetry it is
written in stanzas.
What is form?
The Golden Gate: A
novel in verse free by Vikram Seth. Vikram Seth also used the Sonnet as its
preferred medium to tell us a story.
Eugene Onegin was written by Russian poet Alexander Pushkin using a particular kind of
Sonnet.
The stanza has 3
quatrains (four-line) and ends with a couplet (two-line).
" He turned from

Here we get to know
that though john is a successful man he is lonely and it pains him to reflect
on the fact that he has no one who cares about him.
Sonet is a form that
allows Seth to introduce John in the first four lines.
About form:
The form is of poetry can be
understood as the physical structure of the poem: The length of the lines their
rhythms their system of rhymes, and repetition in this sense. It is normally
reserved for the type of poem where these features have been shaped into a
pattern especially a familiar pattern.

If we look at the poem
usage first so we can figure out that there is a lack of stanza.
We can find that it has
many poetic devices like repetition use of literary devices like metaphor and
other figures of speech it uses many efforts.
Prose organized in the

The prose did not get much
success and it come back in the 1950s and 1960s in the USA.
Advantage of a prose poem:

It is a permissive form and frees the poet
from the constraints of a formal structure.

By using a prose poem charara is able to use a
variety of forms like quotations static references to political figures.

he is able to mix up the unexpected with the known
that leads Ironic turns and produces meaning.
About the
poem Usage:
In this process form, the author Hayan Charara is talking about their personal life.
He talked about that
how he was a victim of prejudice or discrimination.
Hayan Charara was born in the US but his father was not from the US his life was not easy.
He is careful to remind the reader that not all Arabs are alike.
Not all of them are
terrorists.
In the poem, we can notice
that there is a lack of rhymes and rhythms are irregular.
The last few lines of
the poem are a long list of words each of the words is meant to evoke an image in the
Reader's mind.

and connotation-
Denotation is the
literal meaning of a word the dictionary definition rather than its associate
emotion are definition.
Connotation refers to
the association that is connected to a certain word or the emotional
suggestion related to the word.
Writers have mostly used the denotative aspect of language because they need to convey something as directly
and as logically as possible.
Poets generally tend to
use the connotative aspect of language because they need to convey an
experience, feeling, emotion, etc.
Connotation of a word
includes both positive and negative Association as the case may be.

Slam poetry: Slam
poetry is important poetry that is performed on the stage. Developed in the
early years of the 1980s in North America and gain popularity in a large number of countries.
Marc Kelly Smith from
Chicago is considered as the founder of slam poetry.
He brings poetry touch
back into the common people.
He organized a poetry
writing competition with some basic rules.
The name Slam poetry
perhaps comes from the freedom of the audient to Slam poetry in public.
